The Doctor Diaries project was run by a group of folks at Stanford Med, and was active for about a year starting in May 1996.
As best I can determine, the MedWorld site itself has been abandoned completely, but the links themselves still work.
It was a lot of fun writing pieces for the project, though looking back on my efforts, I can only cringe at how banal some of the product is. On the other hand, I still think some of the entries are just hysterical.
And they're true too. There just wasn't any need for hyperbole.
